The Bigfoot service begins well before your arrival in Chamonix, as your Airport transfers from Geneva, only one hour away, are included as part of our catered chalet holidays. Should you choose a hotel or self-catering holiday in Chamonix, we will happily organise your transport at a cost of £55 per person. Our catered chalet and hotel holidays also include an in-resort minibus service to take you to and from the slopes each day.

With many of our holidays we are delighted to offer an 'early bird' discount. Our current offer is a discount of £45 per person on specified weekly chalet bookings made at least 8 weeks prior to arrival date. No doubt the most popular reason to choose our Chamonix chalets and apartments is to get up on the slopes. With the Les Houches ski area now added to Brevent/Flegere, Grands Montets and Le Tour, Chamonix's legendary international status is more befitting than ever. Gentle green and blue slopes can be found up and down the valley for beginners to find their feet. Intermediates will love the massive variety of red and black pistes, while the experts among you will be in paradise with miles and miles of off-piste powder just waiting to be tracked out!

Although famous as a skiing and snowboarding hotspot, Chamonix has plenty to offer the non-skier. If the views from the balconies of our Chamonix chalets are tempting, take the Montenvers train, the Aiguille de Midi cable car, or the Mont Blanc tramway high up the mountains to savour truly breathtaking panoramas. For the more energetic non skier- why not try a day of skidooing, dogsledding, para-gliding or ice-climbing?

The most conspicuous and awe-inspiring feature of the Chamonix Valley is the towering Mont Blanc mountain range - its glaciers and peaks have drawn explorers and scientists for hundreds of years. The turn of the 20th Century saw an improvement in transport access and a huge increase in shops and hotels in Chamonix has followed. Today Chamonix is a year-round resort offering options for all tastes in terms of sport, shopping, and accommodation.

During the day Chamonix town is vibrant with lively bistros, markets, exhibitions, spas, and an abundant range of shopping. As early evening approaches and après ski commences things really start to come to life. The night life in Chamonix is a true melting pot of flavours, offering chic bars, live music venues, a bowling alley with pool hall, traditional French restaurants and cafes, and lively nightclubs where you can dance until dawn.

All of our Chamonix holiday accommodation is designed to be comfortable and cosy whatever time of year you visit. This flexibility is ideal in the mountains where the winter weather can fluctuate from whiteouts and snow to magical days of sunshine which illuminate the whole valley.

December and January bring the first chills and snow flurries; February sees temperatures plummet to their lowest with snow at its deepest; March and April see changeable conditions with a general trend towards the warm blue skies of the approaching summer.
