Bigfoot Travel Sales Team Requirements - [ Sept / Oct 2005 - March / April 2006 ]
Selling Bigfoot holidays is to care about what you are selling and to who you are selling it to, after all you are selling happiness to people. Due to the varied nature of skiing packages it is a complex sale but one with great satisfaction attached.
You will be working within a small team totalling four including the sales manger and as such you will be a team player.
Hours are varied rewards are good.
Being the first contact point for our clients you are the beginning of their entire Bigfoot experience so the natural ability to smile on the phone is vital.
- Ideally you will have at least basic French spoken
- Previous in/out-bound telesales experience is essential
Bigfoot Travel Overseas Resort Staff - [ Winter 2005 - 2006 ]
Chalet Couples, Hosts and Chefs
We are looking for mature, motivated, dedicated and fun-loving couples, individuals and chefs to run our portfolio of chalets for the forthcoming Winter Season. The chalets vary in size from 14 to 28 people and are run in teams of 2 to 3. Catering experience is essential as are outstanding people skills, a passion for skiing/boarding and the ability to work irregular, demanding and infinitely variable hours. Day to day tasks involve: verification of guests' arrivals and departure details; welcoming guests to your chalet; and organising, chauffeuring them to, and collecting payment for, their equipment hire, ski lessons and lift passes. Breakfast, afternoon tea and a three course evening meal are provided 6 days a week, as is transport to and from the slopes at the start and end of each day. House-keeping duties include: daily cleaning, food and wine orders, shopping, budgetary management and linen stock control.
Running a Bigfoot chalet is both highly demanding and immensely rewarding, a desire to make every person who stays with you have an unforgettable holiday experience is the philosophy to which we like our hosts to adhere and the key to a successful season.
Hotel Representative
The Bigfoot Hotel Representative will be responsible for all guests staying in Hotel accommodation throughout the Chamonix Valley. We work mainly with the Hotel Du Bois in les Houches and any of the 2, 3 and 4 Star Hotels in the centre of Chamonix. A love of people and a passion for all the valley has to offer are key skills to making our guests' stays as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. Day to day tasks include: verification of arrivals details and preparation of welcome envelopes, seeing guests in, at any time of day, taking them to the ski hire shops and organising their lift passes and any ski school or guiding requirements, driving guests to the slopes and back each day and into town in the evenings if desired, verification of guests' departure details and seeing them off as they depart. Team player skills are essential, as you will also be required to help out with driving for the chalet guests from time to time. An excellent job for someone keen to ski and socialise to the maximum with guests.
Self-Catering Representatives
Bigfoot is looking to employ 2 Self-Catering Representatives for the forthcoming Winter Season. Self-motivated, flexible, reliable and highly organised individuals are required to manage our collection of quality apartments and chalets, which are sold on a self-catering basis. Client-facing roles involve the welcoming and repping of guests to ensure that all aspects of their holiday run as smoothly as possible. Day to day responsibilities include: verification of guests' arrivals and departure details, showing guests into their apartment, organising and collecting payment for their equipment hire, ski lessons and lift passes, visiting them during their stay and participating in Bigfoot events, such as the day trip to Courmayeur and après-ski meetings. In terms of property management you are charged with maintaining the apartments to the highest possible standard which includes: the administration of damage deposits; inventory verification and the organisation of replacement items; the coordination of repairs and maintenance; and the supervision of cleaning and linen. High levels of personal organisation are essential to plan and prepare for an arrivals schedule which varies immensely week on week, as is a flexible and pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a scrupulous attention to detail to ensure our properties are maintained in the best possible condition throughout the season. Ideal candidates are independent workers who are confident at managing their own workload and infinitely adaptable to the dynamics of a client-focussed industry.
